At the Lipid Clinic, we focus on the monitoring and treatment of patients with all types of lipid metabolism disorders. Patients with elevated cholesterol or triglyceride levels in the blood usually have an increased risk of developing atherosclerosis and related cardiovascular diseases, particularly myocardial infarction, stroke, and others.

The purpose of our clinic’s care is largely preventive. Our goal is either to delay the onset of cardiovascular diseases or to prevent them altogether. This is especially important for patients with so-called familial hypercholesterolemia, which is genetically determined, and for patients with elevated laboratory values who have not yet developed any of these conditions. The clinic is also linked to the nationwide MedPed project, which focuses on the genetic identification of these abnormalities and the screening of entire families at risk of cardiovascular diseases.

In recent decades, we have gained access to highly effective treatment options for managing lipid metabolism disorders. Our clinical experience shows that approximately 90% of all patients achieve long-term significant improvement in their lipid levels, and this effect persists for many years in cooperative patients who are monitored and treated on a long-term basis.

The Infusion Unit provides comfortable and convenient administration of infusions that help our patients reduce and treat not only chronic pain, but also severe acute conditions. This unit is used not only by our specialist physicians, but primarily by doctors from the city and surrounding areas.

A new service is the administration of a series of infusions that support blood circulation in the limbs (so-called vasodilatory infusions) for patients with narrowing or blockage of peripheral arteries.

Our unit has become highly sought-after and popular among both patients and physicians.
