Rehabilitation for Children
Every child develops at their own pace. Sometimes, however, they need gentle support to help them develop their movement potential in a healthy way and without unnecessary difficulties. At Sagena, we provide pediatric rehabilitation with respect for the individuality of each child and their family. We guide both parents and children calmly and clearly, with an emphasis on safety and mutual cooperation. We also collaborate with prosthetic companies that visit our clinic for patient consultations, with the treating physiotherapist present during the assessment.

Our Team
A physiotherapist specializing in the Bobath Concept, Baby Bobath, functional upper limb splinting (Orfit), NRX Strap, Prechtl Screening, and work with primary reflexes. She provides care for children with psychomotor developmental disorders, asymmetries, and neurological diagnoses.
A physiotherapist specializing in ACT in pediatrics, work with primary reflexes, handling techniques, soft tissue techniques, scoliosis therapy, DNS FIT KID, sensorimotor training, Formthotics insoles, NRX straps, yoga for children with poor posture, and kinesiotaping. She works with children from birth, as well as patients with postural disorders, scoliosis, and foot deformities.
A physiotherapist working with DNS (Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization), soft tissue techniques, visceral therapy, and kinesiotaping. She focuses on children with scoliosis and movement difficulties, as well as adult patients with functional disorders. She also specializes in scar treatment.
A physiotherapist specializing in ACT in pediatrics, handling techniques, neurological assessment of infants and newborns, integration of primary reflexes, soft tissue techniques, and pediatric foot issues. She provides care for children with psychomotor developmental disorders, poor posture, and foot-related difficulties.
More Information
We provide care for:
- Infants and toddlers with deviations in psychomotor development, including premature babies
- Children with asymmetry, poor posture, or scoliosis
- Children with lower limb deformities
- Children with neurological diagnoses
- Older children and school-age patients with musculoskeletal pain or recovering from injuries
Care always begins with an examination and assessment of the child’s motor development. Based on the findings, we design an individualized therapeutic plan, which we continuously adapt as needed. We actively involve parents in the therapy process and provide them with guidance for everyday care.
We offer specialized care for:
- Flat feet or high arches
- In-toeing
- Heel valgus
- Improper alignment of the lower limbs
Part of the treatment includes individually customized Formthotics insoles, which support proper foot development and the related movement chains.
Formthotics™ are insoles made from a thermomoldable material that adapts directly to the client’s foot. They provide effective support, improve stability, and help ensure proper load distribution during walking and sports activities.
These insoles are suitable for foot, knee, hip, or back pain, for flat feet or high arches, and as a preventive measure against musculoskeletal overload. Customization is carried out on-site by a trained physiotherapist using wedging techniques. After one or two visits, patients leave with finished insoles tailored to their foot alignment in both static and dynamic conditions, supporting optimal movement patterns.
As part of our pediatric rehabilitation program, we offer parents and children a practical brochure titled Exercise Through Play, featuring simple and easy-to-follow exercises designed for home practice. The exercises are presented in a playful and clear format to keep children engaged while giving parents clear guidance on how to perform them correctly.
The brochure serves as a supportive tool for rehabilitation care and helps children exercise regularly and properly outside the clinic.
The brochure is available for purchase at the reception desk on the 1st floor. The price is CZK 65.
We Use the Following Methods and Approaches
A therapeutic approach designed for children from birth. It focuses on supporting natural motor development in early childhood and on actively engaging the child in movement through play and everyday activities.
A gentle therapeutic method designed for infants and young children. It supports natural psychomotor development through positioning and targeted handling techniques.
The Bobath Concept is a therapeutic approach based on neurodevelopmental principles. It is designed for children whose neurological difficulties affect their daily functioning and activities. Therapy is tailored to the individual needs of each child, with the goal of achieving functional independence and meaningful activity. It represents a 24-hour approach that naturally integrates care, play, and participation in everyday life.
A method based on developmental kinesiology. It supports proper trunk stability, coordination, and quality of movement in both children and adults.
Individually custom-made splints designed to support proper positioning and function of the upper limb.
A gentle therapy and exercise approach for babies, focused on supporting natural motor development. Through sensitive guidance of movement, it promotes symmetry and improved coordination. The therapy also includes practical guidance for parents, enabling them to safely and naturally incorporate movement support into everyday childcare.
Application of elastic therapeutic tapes that support proper muscle and joint function without restricting movement.
Gentle manual techniques used to release muscle tension and improve mobility.
Specialized supportive straps used for stabilization and movement correction, often applied in neurological or orthopedic conditions.
Focuses on primitive reflexes which, if retained, may affect posture, coordination, and concentration. The therapy supports their natural integration.
An assessment of spontaneous movements in infants that enables early detection of potential risks in nervous system development.
Exercises and movement activities focused on balance, stability, coordination, and body awareness. This therapy addresses the integration of sensory perception and balance control. For rehabilitation purposes, we use the Galileo vibration platform.
A gentle manual therapy focused on the trunk and abdominal area, suitable, for example, in cases of tension, problematic scars, or functional disorders.
